Coming Soon!!! The Travails Of Eve’s Daughters

african womenThis is the true story of certain African elite women. Amongst them are the married, single and divorced. Each has a story to tell of her unique challenges and experiences of life. A story of passion, pain, hope, healing and struggles to survive and belong in our contemporary society.  Has anyone experienced the fear of remaining single for life? Anyone living with the stark reality of a wrong marriage? Ridden by guilt of infidelity? Afraid of commitment? Or is anyone struggling with the anguish of failed dreams? Oh !It used to be so good with us, but now…?

Envious of your friends who seem to have it all in their grasp? Wallowing in the pit of disappointment? Being jilted?  Afraid of growing old alone and desperately wanting back what you foolishly threw away out of childish exuberance? Is someone haunted by the ghost of the past? Being let down by a loved one? These are some of the situations you will encounter in this classic story.

A story every woman, every girl, every female and the men in their lives must read. Amusing and deeply moving, a story of different strokes for different folks.

The Characters:

Liz: A conscientious single career lady, struggling with the challenge of loneliness and singlehood while trying to live right. Caught in a love triangle with the most unlikely of men.

Eugene: Spontaneous and witty, an exact opposite of Liz, stuck in an unhappy marriage with the wrong man.

Ada: Living with the pain of being raped by a supposed friend. Finds it difficult to get past the experience and embrace a beautiful future.

Ngozi: Stricken with the guilt of a secret adulterous affair.

 The men in their Lives

Niyi: Shattered by the unfaithfulness of a woman he gave all to.

Zach: Trapped in a loveless marriage of convenience. Trying to please a wife who never see anything good about him.

Charles:  Trying hard to court the love of a woman whose attention appeared to be divided.

Matt Oladele: Hoping to win back a lost love.

Jide Badmus: Struggling to win the trust of a woman who had  lost faith in love because of an event that marred her past.

Then to my readers all over the world, the daughters of Eve who go through and experience similar experiences; I salute you all. In our struggles through life as daughters, mothers, wives, whether single or married; we should never lose sight of the knowledge that the true lover of our souls, our husband, provider and helper is Jesus.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made, whether, tall, short, endowed, slim, black, white, educated, illiterate, whatever; as long as you are a woman, you are loved by the father, you are precious in his sight. No matter what challenges you might be experiencing, don’t you ever forget that.

We go through similar struggles, loneliness, fear of ageing, infertility, infidelity, divorce, disappointment, rejection etc. and all these should strengthen our bond to each other irrespective of our race and skin color.

I hope through this book, I have been able to not only entertain, but also given hope to the hopeless, brought laughter to a few and made the day of someone beautiful.

My appreciation to those great women who allowed me share their stories, your steps are all engraved in the sounds of time as you have all made history with those things that were supposed to crumble you. Thanks and God bless.
